Contreras Family Foundation Putts for Charity in Kern County, Calif.

Kern County, CALIF – On Saturday, May 7, 2022, family members and colleagues of The Contreras Family Foundation are looking forward to a morning and afternoon in the sun playing on their favorite golf course.

The Contreras Family Foundation is hosting its annual funraiser at the Kern River Golf Course in Kern County, Calif. during an event that is part team-building and part-fundraiser.

The Contreras Family Foundation was founded in 1987 and it awards scholarships yearly to high school and college students who attend school in Kern County, which sits in the southern part of the Central Valley in California.

According to their public service announcements, the non-profit also holds non-perishable food and clothing drives for those in need of these items and its volunteers have participated in Adopt-A-Highway clean-ups.

Family member of employees of the foundation Mr. Palomino describes the event as “great fun.” He enjoys that his family is part of “giving back to the community.”

The weather promises to be sunny and in the 60s and 70s tomorrow morning. With such a dedicated group of individuals working to support their community, this fundraiser is sure to be a hole-in-one.
